- Free Parking is available in Lot E – 598 Pike St, Bowling Green, OH 43402 – Friday after 7:30pm and all day Saturday (first parking ticket at BGSU is a warning, so parking before 7:30pm Friday should be ok unless you have a prior BGSU citation)
- Paid Parking is available in Short Term Lots 7B 7C and 7D adjacent to the student union – use the PayByPhone app https://www.paybyphone.com/drivers/how-it-works and enter Lot 7 code 42004 when paying
- Handicapped parking is available in Lot 7C, and Lot E

5. Abstracts
- Abstract submission deadline is Wednesday, April 1st, 2026
- The abstract is entered during registration, by the presenting author (only)
- You will be notified your presentation format (poster or podium) by email on Friday, April 3rd, 2026

Abstract Requirements
- Formatted Abstract Text is directly entered into the registration form (no file upload)
- The abstract must include the title, all authors, and all author affiliations
- The title must be in bold type and centered

- The presenting author‘s name must be in bold type with a superscript asterisk (*) after the surname
- The abstract body must be left justified, and be 300 words or less in length
- Example layout and formatting:
Characterization of an Escherichia coli strain isolated from beach sediments
Jennifer M. Colton*1, Steve B. Willliams2, and Areena Georgi1

Body of the abstract goes here and is left justified. The body can be up to 300 words in length (not counting the title, authors, and institutions). Hopefully you have read the requirements above and follow this example formatting.
Posters
- See the schedule for Poster session location, date, and time
- Poster maximum dimensions are 46″ wide by 72″ tall (poster boards are taller than they are wide)

6. Free Student Lodging (Friday night – limited rooms)
Lodging Requests are first-requested-first-served and must be entered during registration no later than now closed.
There are a limited number of free hotel rooms for graduate, undergrad, and high school students for Friday evening
- There will be 4 students assigned to each room.
- We will try to place students from the same institution in the same room (in groups of 4)
- You may be placed in a room with someone from another institution

7. Registration and Payment
Every person attending must register as themselves, and complete an on-line order.
If someone else is paying for you:
- Complete registration for yourself
- Enter name of who will be paying for you when prompted
- Complete an on-line order for yourself
- Choose the ‘Check mailed in advance‘ payment option during checkout
If you are paying for others:
- Complete registration for yourself
- Complete an on-line order for yourself (only)
- Choose the ‘Check mailed in advance‘ payment option during checkout.

Refund Policy
- Refund requests must be submitted to the OBASM Secretary/Treasurer no later than - Refund deadline is now past.
- Requests after this date cannot be refunded.

- Formatted Abstract text (*if submitting to present) Can paste from common editors such as MS Word
- Avoid using the browser back button while registering (Use the back button at bottom of form instead)
- You will receive A) a registration confirmation number and B) an email confirming your on-line order
